Submit a sample: 20 pages from either a screenplay, TV pilot or play that fits the event focus (genre or theme) with a max of 3-5 characters highlighted for review. If your story is selected, you will receive a virtual live read with experienced actors and feedback back from an Industry Guest Mentor at the next scheduled cycle.
Season Two continues with Cycle 7 in mid Spring.

Kia T. Barbee is a WGAE member, Writer/Creative Producer and Educator.
Kia was recently commissioned by Jeff Daniel’s Purple Rose Theater Company to write a short play to be included in an upcoming virtual anthology reading series in Winter 2021.
Additionally, Two of her TV pilots have placed in Austin Film Festival’s AMC One Hour Teleplay competition and New York Film & Stages Filmmaker Workshop as a finalist.
Kia has worked on short form content as a Producer and consults screenwriters to strengthen story structure, character development and dialogue.
Deborah is a writer-director - producer whose work in film and television began as a Development Executive for Sanford-Pillsbury Productions (Desperately Seeking Susan, River's Edge, How to Make an American Quilt). Deborah's Urbanworld Film Festival, Best Screenplay win for her darkly provocative family drama Cherry's launched her filmmaking path. She has written for Emmy-winning and Independent Spirit Award nominated Producers, and for shows like the cult favorite horror anthology series "Tales from The Cryptkeeper." She is a Film Independent and IFP lab fellow, best known for her daylight horror fable Vampires in Venice, and her action-drama, The Pastor. Deborah is a Sundance Collab advisor and screenwriting professor at Brooklyn College, and newly minted co-creator, writer of the noir-crime-thriller series "Hot Freeze" with Canadian Producers, Nomadic (Van Helsing, Hell on Wheels, Fargo).
Michael is a multi-talented successful music industry professional with over 20 years experience. He has been able to grow and sustain his client base exclusively via referrals from record label executives and other artists. He has worked with award winning artists in areas including, but not limited to marketing, merchandising, production, career development, endorsements, contract negotiation and international touring. A film soundtrack rekindled his love of acting and resulted in a small film role. This up and coming actor hasn't looked back since. he has booked lead roles in Theater, TV, Film and Commercials
